Default root partition is too small!
You can't boot an upgrade disk, and get it to install(thus, that error). You have to have vista running, and then put the DVD in the drive. My advice is to reinstall via the OEM disk, then upgrade, or after installation do a clean install, updates, reinstall programs and copy your Data back.
